How To Accomplish Your Goals Successfully

We all have things we want to accomplish in this life. Goals we desire to achieve and amazing lives we want to live. Every child aspires to be a great person and live the most awesome life, but in the process of growing, many part ways with their dreams and they start to welcome anything that life has to offer.

You take on responsibilities you were not ready for and the joy of life start to fade. It is so important to remain on track. If by any chance your childhood dreams should change, let it be for the better. Do not give up on you. Set your goals. Write them down in bold caps. Find ways to accomplish them and by doing so you will be the happiest person you ever wanted to be.

In my previous post I shared how to effectively set goals that you can achieve and I would love to see you accomplish those goals successfully.

So, here are strategies to help you accomplish the goals successfully.

Cultivate self-discipline

Lack of self-discipline is the greatest challenge in achieving ones goals. It is always easier said than done. All of us have goals, but not all us get to live the dream, which is sad because we want the biggest life but are not putting in the effort. We want the success, but we are not willing to do what it takes to get there.

Procrastination, negative thoughts, bad habits, toxic company among othes are things you need to do away with to achieve your goal. Practice positive habits, don’t snooze your alarm, if it’s one movie let it be one movie. Train yourself.

Rewarding small wins

This sounds sweet people. Every time you achieve something put a tick, give yourself a smile, in fact, take yourself out for dinner. This will help you feel that you are actually doing something to impact your life. The idea that you are getting close to your goal should keep you motivated. Also when you see that tick you will definitely want to add another one next time. You can also promise yourself that if you finish that task by that time you will buy yourself a new bag or product. All to keep your mind focused and on the go.

Identifying your source of motivation

We don’t always have that ‘let’s do this’ attitude, sometimes you are dragging your feet, like ooh today I don’t feel like doing anything, and other kind of excuses. This is why you need to note that one or two things that keep you on your toes. Maybe listening to your favorite life coach like I do, or watching people that are actually living your dream-people who inspire you or even listening to a particular song.

Identify it so that when you don’t feel like doing anything, instead of letting in some negative energy motivate you to actually not do what you had planned, when you revere to your source of motivation you can get back the energy.

Clear up your space

With the distractions that surrounds our life it’s very easy to get carried away. For instance you are on your computer reading for your exams then a notification pops up “you have a new message, or so and so commented on your photo” the moment you decide to check you find other interesting stuff and twenty minutes down the line you are like… agghhrrr!!! I was supposed to finish reading this so I can do that… by that time your schedule I messed up.
Therefore, it is good you set up your space in a way that will limit chances of interruptions. Place everything you need in your reach and eliminate anything that you don’t need. You can request the people you are living with to give you some time to work on particular assignment or lock yourself in a room. Set your working space the way you deem comfortable.

Start with the smaller goals

Working on the smaller goals will let you see results faster than you would while working on the bigger goals. Seeing results keeps us going. It helps us remain consistent with whatever we are working on. It allows you to see the possibility of finishing the ones ahead. You become more motivated and positive about your goals.

For example, if you are planning to pay your loans it’s advisable to start with the smaller loans towards the bigger ones, and seeing your progress will make you happier.

Lastly, be open to critics, failure and be ready to change. Learn through the process-allow yourself to grow up. Setting your goals and laying a solid action plan is not guarantee that they are going to work exactly the way you planned. Be consistent, learn from mistakes and keep fueling up. You may also consider having a mentor or an accountability partner to help you on a bad day.

I hope this post gave you enough of what you wanted if not more. I would really love to read your comment. Share the tip that works for you in the comment section below.

  1. I have been surfing online more than 3 hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours. It is pretty worth enough for me. In my opinion, if all website owners and bloggers made good content as you did, the net will be much more useful than ever before.

  2. Hmm is anyone else encountering problems with the pictures on this blog loading? I’m trying to figure out if its a problem on my end or if it’s the blog. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

  3. Good day! This post could not be written any better! Reading this post reminds me of my old room mate! He always kept chatting about this. I will forward this page to him. Fairly certain he will have a good read. Thank you for sharing!
